Description of position :
We purchase receivables and non-performing loans (NPL) across national borders and assume the risk of reduced collectability.
Riverty has an international network of largely group-owned collection companies, as well as carefully selected partner collection companies.
Through our network, we are able to ensure professional local collection services taking into account cultural characteristic and payment behavior when processing non-performing receivables.
This career opportunity is at the heart of the business and a central function in the finance organization. The (Senior) Financial Analyst (m / f / d) will play a vital role in the overall Riverty organization by liaising with stakeholders on all levels as a trusted advisor and business partner.
You are expected to contribute ideas, opinions, new information and together with experienced colleagues to develop models and perform complex analyses in order to meet overall corporate strategy targets.
What you are expected to do :
- Be a strong partner and advisor to the Debt Purchase business unit team
- You will evaluate portfolios of non-performing loans and present your findings to decision makers
- You will coordinate with relevant interfaces to understand the value drivers of the portfolio and how it fits the operational platform in each country / jurisdiction
- You are the hub, combining relevant information from different sources into one proposal, translating facts and approximations into investment decision under quantifiable risk
- You will from time to time support the operational side of the business with ad-hoc analysis
- You will drive projects to help the further development of existing analysis- and evaluation models
- Occasional business travelling to our clients
What you should bring :
- University degree in Economics, Mathematics or comparable course of study with a strong link to data
- Minimum of 2-5 years of analytical experience within the financial industry and have experience with selling or purchasing financial claims within the German market
- Distinct understanding of numbers as well as analysis and interpretation skills
- You have excellent analytical capacity with a creative, logical and structural approach to problem solving and you are detail-oriented and independent
- Excellent skills with the MS Office package in general, and with Excel in particular
- An understanding for how to perform data extraction and manipulation. Experience of working with programming languages such as SQL, R, Python is highly welcome
- You are comfortable in working in an international environment in constant change and bring excellent communication skills in English - German is a plus
