Job Description
- As a building technology research engineer at Bosch Corporate Research you will work on the transition towards a sustainable energy and heat supply for the future.
- You will use and improve a modern simulation and optimization tool chain to evaluate energy and heat supply solutions in terms of sustainability and cost.
- With your concepts, model-based analyses, and research results, you will promote the market success of sustainable heating technologies such as heat pumps.
- You will research innovative solutions for future Bosch building technologies and heating system products and demonstrate these as prototypes in our laboratories.
- Furthermore, you will independently work on research tasks in the field of heat pump and control technology, develop your own concepts as well as ideas, in addition to supervising students or PhD candidates.
- Last but not least, you will actively network within the scientific community and cooperate closely with leading research institutes and universities.
Qualifications
- Education: excellent university degree Master or PhD in Engineering or Natural Sciences (e.g., Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology, Electrical Engineering, Technical Cybernetics, Physics) or comparable field
- Experience and Knowledge: excellent know-how in the simulation and optimization of energy systems; experience in building technology, AI, and control engineering is an advantage; work experience in the context of energy systems is desirable
- Personality and Working Practice: you have a high intrinsic motivation for thermodynamics and sustainable energy supply, quickly grasp complex issues and communicate them clearly, working on solutions in a self-reliant as well as team-oriented, structured, and creative manner
- Languages: fluent in English written and spoken
