Project Engineer

Responsible for ensuring that the Engineering deliverables of an integrated program are in line with the customer requirements and the product definition. Responsible for the delivery of technical definition solutions to budget and schedule.

Role :

Engineering deliverables covering all from initial development, transfer to production and handover of the project to sustaining Engineering.

Provide technical project leadership to the IPT teams that are tasked with delivering the project deliverables.

Define and deliver the customer requirements and definition for the project.

Collaborate closely with the Engineering Teams & Value Stream

To support process and procedures within Engineering and interfacing with other business functions

Co-ordinate the Liaison with the Customer on technical matters

Travel to customers, suppliers & other sites to support project activity.

Manage Risk & Opportunities.

Development of customer relationships.

Awareness of processes and continuous improvement activities which support Engineering deliverables.

Comply with Engineering processes and methodologies.

Change management scope and integration of change into the projects.

Engineering Milestone management

Management of Engineering project related costs, planning and resources

Deliverables

Ensure all Engineering delivery satisfies external technical & project requirements of the Customer

Ensure all internal technical & external deliverables are met

Support Final Assembly & Aircraft integration activity from the customer or integrator

Support Product change management process

Execution of customer definition agreed contract deliverables

Support continuous improvement activities

Ensure compliance to requirements is satisfied

Support the build process and production of the product

Ensure all issues preventing progression of Engineering deliverables, delivery and installation are communicated and mitigated in a timely manner

Additional Tasks :

Monitor project status, using KPIs and report regularly

Report progress against the technical elements of the plan

Reporting status of projects regularly to Internal Stakeholders

Reporting the acceptance of technical deliverables before maturity gate & project reviews

Experience Required :

Degree Qualification in Engineering or equivalent Aerospace discipline

Competent professional contributor with Aerospace industry experience.

Works autonomously with oversight from manager

Influences others through explanation of facts, policies, practices, and procedures

Business level German and English

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
