SICIM is currently looking for a Document Controller for one of our projects based in Germany.
The Document Controller is responsible for the management, control, and distribution of all technical and project documentation to the relevant departments.
He/she ensures that documents are properly prepared, reviewed, approved, distributed, and archived in compliance with company procedures and project-specific requirements.
He/she guarantees the integrity, traceability, and confidentiality of all records, ensuring that internal and external stakeholders have timely access to the latest approved versions.
The role also supports the standardization and continuous improvement of document management processes between the corporate headquarters and local offices.
- Manage the receipt, registration, distribution, and archiving of all technical and project documentation.
- Ensure proper document numbering, revision control, and metadata completion in accordance with company or project procedures.
- Verify the format, consistency, and compliance of documents prior to their internal or external distribution.
- Manage transmittals and ensure timely distribution of documentation to all relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain and update the company’s Document Management System (DMS), supporting its continuous improvement.
- Ensure full traceability of revisions and approval cycles for all project documentation.
- Interface with Project Engineers, Lead Engineers, and the Procurement Department to ensure an efficient and timely document flow.
- Coordinate document control activities with local offices and construction teams, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
- Support audits by providing controlled and traceable documentation.
- Promote awareness and compliance with document control procedures within engineering and project teams
