At DECK 13 Interactive were more than just a game development studiowere a diverse passionate community of creators dedicated to crafting unforgettable gaming experiences. Since our founding in 2001 in the heart of Frankfurt Germany weve been pushing the boundaries of whats possible in PC and console games. Now part of the PulluP Entertainment group our team of around 100 talented professionals continues to shape the future of gaming.

Were the minds behind titles like Lords of the Fallen The Surge series and Atlas Fallen known for their rich worlds and immersive gameplay. But we believe the best games are still ahead of us and thats where you come in.

To continue our success story we are now looking for you to join our team as our new UI / UX Designer (f / m / x).

Your Quest :

  • Drive design tuning implementation and polish of UI features which support the projects game and creative directions
  • Coordinate interdepartmentally with artists sound designers programmers and animators to deliver high-quality fully integrated features within the defined deadlines
  • Develop and improve generic logics and systems to empower an efficient and agile design workflow
  • Support the development of gameplay features by providing expert insight and solutions to UX problematics
  • Demonstrate a high level of ownership and responsibility in your day-to-day work and across disciplines
  • Resourcefully navigate constraints and challenges by finding creative solutions to work around them

Your Toolkit :

  • Significant experience with visual scripting systems like Unreal Engine Blueprints
  • Strong experience of Unreal Engine 5 particularly of UI-related tools and systems
  • 2 years of experience in the field of UI and / or UX Design
  • Deep knowledge of user experience in interactive application
  • Experience with standard industry software such as Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Analytical thinking with the capacity to quickly understand game design rules mechanics balancing concepts and techniques
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues from an aesthetic point of view
  • Team Player with strong interpersonal and communication skills with willingness to learn new techniques and share knowledge openly
  • Experience in the gaming industry
  • Full professional English proficiency

    • Nice-to-Have Qualifications :

  • Proficiency in C# C or any other programming language in a strong plus
  • Good knowledge of 3rd person melee combat games is a strong plus
  • Experience driving the UX design of a project from pre-production to release is a strong plus
  • Working knowledge of Graphics Mathematics (Vectors trigonometry matrices Boolean logic etc) is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of rendering pipelines
  • Knowledge of a shader language experience writing and maintaining shaders
  • Basic animation understanding
