Stellenbeschreibung

As a Test Engineer for Electrical Drives, you will play a key role in validating and improving innovative electromechanical products and automation solutions. You will plan, execute, and analyze product tests, investigate technical issues, and support product reliability throughout the lifecycle. Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams, you will help ensure products meet customer requirements, performance expectations, and industry standards while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Validate new products by planning, preparing, executing, and documenting tests according to customer specifications, both internally and in collaboration with external testing laboratories.
  • Perform functional testing of electrical linear actuators, establish and monitor endurance tests, program controllers for samples, and ensure continuous monitoring of test activities.
  • Prepare and execute test plans, analyze test results, and present findings during design reviews as part of a cross-functional product development team.
  • Analyze customer-returned products by assessing compliance with specifications and conducting root cause and failure investigations to support sustaining engineering and continuous product improvement.
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to develop and implement effective corrective actions and solution proposals.
  • Design and develop electronic devices and test equipment that support routine and long-duration testing activities.
  • Create solutions for sensor signal monitoring, data acquisition, visualization, and analysis to support engineering decisions and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to the optimization of testing methodologies, product reliability, and validation processes.

Who You Are:

You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and are energized by understanding how products work and why they fail. You persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and use a systematic, analytical approach to identify root causes and develop effective solutions. You build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared goals while openly exchanging technical knowledge and ideas. You adapt your approach to changing circumstances, learn quickly from new experiences, and seek innovative ways to improve products, processes, and testing capabilities.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Understanding of fluid technologies, preferably pneumatics.
  • Experience with PLC programming.
  • Programming skills in Python or C/C++.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and work within a matrix organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate technical documentation and test records.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Min years of experience in engineering, testing, validation, product development, or a related technical environment.
  • Experience with LabVIEW programming.
  • Experience in factory automation or industrial automation environments.
  • Experience validating electromechanical products, actuators, drives, or motion-control systems.
  • Familiarity with test automation, data acquisition systems, and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of reliability testing, endurance testing, and failure analysis methodologies.
  • Experience working with external testing laboratories and certification processes.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle support and sustaining engineering activities.
