The Role

Black Semiconductor is seeking a  Photonic Component Designer(f / m / d)   to create broadband passive devices that enable high-performance I / O coupling and polarization management as well as high-speed active components.  In this role, you will design, simulate, and  optimize  fabrication-tolerant devices, develop test structures, and deliver PDK-ready building blocks while applying best practices in design-for-test and design-for-functionality

• Design and benchmark passive for I / O coupling and polarization management as well as active components
• Perform fabrication tolerant design optimization
• Develop test structures and apply design-for-test (DFT) methods
• Carry out component and circuit layouting
• Deliver PDK ready components
• Apply design-for-functionality (DFF) best practices
