Primary Function of Position :

A Field Service Engineer 3 will install support troubleshoot repair and otherwise maintain all Intuitive products in their assigned territory ensuring all service agreements and warranty obligations are fulfilled and exceeding customer expectations.  Additionally a Field Service Engineer 3 with time served will provide mentoring to junior Field Service Engineers perform regional administrative tasks as required and take part in new product introductions and process improvement initiatives as required.  This requires expertise in electromechanical systems specialized training as well as excellent customer service communication and time management skills.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Perform scheduled maintenance activities troubleshoot diagnose and repair Intuitive products and coordinate system installations within assigned territory.
• Complete administrative duties including spare parts inventory management field activity reports and expense reports within prescribed timeframes.
• Maintain all companyissued equipment and assets including tools vehicles and electronic devices.
• Support Intuitive teams in various capacities such as assisting with trade shows providing phone support and facilitating company objectives.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects provide feedback to headquarters and contribute to new product introduction initiatives.
• Complete required training for all Intuitive products and professional development courses as directed by management.
• Manage assigned territory by responding to customer needs maintaining system configurations and supporting customer training and events.
• Mentor junior Field Service Engineers and support service contract renewals as required.
• Act as a Medical Device Consultant in Austria and Germany providing guidance on proper handling of Intuitive medical devices after appropriate training.
