Your Role
As a Safety Manager Operations , you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all employees. Your role will focus on workplace safety, risk assessment, and the implementation of effective safety protocols to maintain high occupational health standards. You will work closely with managers, employees, and external partners to develop and enhance safety procedures.
Develop and introduce working procedures and materials to ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations.
Design workplaces, workflows, and working environments in line with ergonomic and safety standards.
Provide guidance and support to managers, employees, and works councils on workplace health and safety topics.
Act as a security-related consultant for Symrise customers and external stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation measures to prevent workplace hazards.
Plan and deliver occupational safety training sessions for employees.
Perform safety inspections of operating facilities, technical work equipment, and working environments.
Investigate workplace accidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Carry out regular workplace inspections, document findings, and propose measures to address safety deficiencies.
About You
Proficiency in German is a must.
Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (e.g., Certified Safety Specialist (Sicherheitsfachkraft) ).
Several years of experience in occupational safety, workplace health management, or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of German occupational safety laws and regulations.
Strong communication and advisory skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing health and safety programs.
Ability to train and educate employees on occupational safety topics.
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
