JOB OPENING Title : Front Desk / Receptionist Location : AMC Landstuhl, Germany Start date : Immediately Job-Type : Full Time (35 hours / week) Hourly paid position SUMMARY The American Medical Center was founded in 2012 to address and help fill the needs of the Americans stationed in the Kaiserslautern Military Community.
Reportedly, the lack of "available space" for medical care on base and the headaches created by the “pay-and-claim” medical care of the German economy caused frustrations with many stationed Americans.
As demand for medical services grew, the American Medical Center expanded its on-site medical services to include more family practice physicians, physical therapists, psychiatrists, nutritional counseling, and veterans’ evaluation services.
Today, the American Medical Center provides many benefits across two locations.
QUALIFICATIONS Have the ability to read, speak, and write English fluently.
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
Be knowledgeable in general medical ethics, health records administration, telephone and email etiquette, office management methods, excellent communications, customer service skills, strong organizational background, and computer operations, including Microsoft Windows and spreadsheet-type applications.
US citizenship with SOFA status.
JOB DESCRIPTION Performs administrative support services.
Answer the phone and schedule appointments.
Refers and advises Military personnel, their families, civilians, and retirees on all facets of community resources.
Provides ongoing and specialized reception, clerical coordination, and primary support for the computer room.
Maintains accurate and complete records and files of documents to include all U.S., German, and local regulations, standards, provisions, codes, laws, etc.
DOCPER / SOFA / Logistical Support Status This position is not eligible for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
