The Head of Product Development at Coats Footwear will be responsible for leading the development of structural and innovation in application techniques. This role requires strong technical expertise, as well as exceptional leadership and project management skills.
The role is to oversee a team of product development managers and engineers to drive the creation of cutting-edge solutions that enhance the durability, performance, and comfort of footwear.
Responsible for the profitable application of state-of-the-art management systems for innovation.
Support as subject matter expert for the procurement for selection of cost-effective, high-quality, compatible, sustainable and performance reliable materials.
Strong interference with technical product management to guarantee market relevant products and to manage product critical success factors. Product innovation strategy and roadmap is under his / her leadership.
Responsible for R&D cost, budget and team staff.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and manage the product development process from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards.
- Drive product ideation and innovation management to fulfil the innovation and sustainability strategy and to maintain a healthy and successful development pipeline.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product improvement or innovation in shoe reinforcement and application.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to develop new materials, technologies for shoe reinforcement.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful product launches within set targets and according to the roadmaps by using and leading the stage gate methodology.
