Das Leibniz-Institut für Zoo- und Wildtierforschung im Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (Leibniz-IZW) Teil der Leibniz-Gemeinschaft will die Anpassungsfähigkeit von Wildtieren im Kontext des globalen Wandels verstehen und - wo möglich ihre Überlebensfähigkeit verbessern. Dafür untersucht es die Vielfalt der Lebenswesen Mechanismen evolutionärer Anpassungen und Anpassungsgrenzen inklusive der Krankheiten von Wildtieren in- und außerhalb menschlicher Obhut und ihre Wechselbeziehungen mit Mensch und Umwelt in Deutschland Europa und Übersee. Das Institut erfüllt diese Aufgabenstellung durch langfristig angelegte anwendungsorientierte interdisziplinäre Grundlagenforschung in Evolutionäre Ökologie Ökologische Dynamik Evolutionsgenetik Wildtierkrankheiten Reproduktionsbiologie und Reproduktionsmanagement.

Studentische Hilfskraft / Tutor

Sie unterstützen die Lehrtätigkeit der Abteilung und assistieren bei Laborverfahren (Immunoassays RT-qPCR Zellkultur).

Die Position soll vorzugsweise zum 1 5. Januar 2026 besetzt werden und ist zunächst auf 5 Monate befristet . Die Arbeitszeit beträgt 20 Stunden pro Woche und wird mit 1369 EUR pro Stunde vergütet (brutto).

The Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (Leibniz-IZW) in the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. a part of the Leibniz Association aims to understand and where possible improve the adaptive capacity of wild animals to cope with global change. To this end it focuses on the diversity of lifestyles diseases and mechanisms of evolutionary adaptation of mammals and birds on the limits of these mechanisms in natural and anthropogenically influenced environments and on conservation strategies that take these into account. The Institute fulfils this mission through long-term application-oriented interdisciplinary basic research in evolutionary ecology ecological dynamics evolutionary genetics wildlife diseases reproductive biology and reproductive management.

For our Department of Reproduction Biology we are seeking to appoint a

Student Assistant / Tutor (f / m / div) 20 hours per week

The candidate will support the teaching duties of the department and assist in laboratory procedures (immunoassays RT-qPCR cell culture).

The position will be filled preferably by 15th January 2026 and is initially limited to 5 months . Working hours are 20 hours per week with salary of 1368 euros (gross) per hour.
