Role Overview

Our client is looking for a dedicated, results-oriented and innovative full-time Security Technician to become a part of their exceptional team. You will play a key role in providing world-class services to the organisation’s valued customers by responding to service requests, supporting customer support programs and executing smaller projects. As a key member of a forward-thinking team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and career alongside the organisation’s continued success. This position offers a hybrid working model that combines the flexibility of remote working with practical on-site work with customers.

As a Security Technician, you have the chance to:

·Install and service / maintain complex security systems

·Work directly with customers and demonstrate technical expertise

Responsibilities

·Install, program, test, repair and maintain various systems, including security, fire alarm, life safety and building automation systems, with assistance as required

·Collaborate with customers and colleagues to provide expert technical support and training, escalating complex challenges to experienced team members as needed

·Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment using electronics knowledge, standard test instruments and hand tools

·Support Project Managers with critical installation assistance and suggestions to improve quality and profitability

·Contribute to the organisation’s peer-focused culture by participating in the ‘Recruit Awesome People’ program, helping the organisation to grow and directing top talent to their Talent Acquisition team

·Take on additional responsibilities to support the organisation in achieving its mission of excellence

Requirements

Technical Skills

·Basic construction knowledge and ability to interpret system plans

·Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction drawings, including wiring, marking and installation methods ( J-Hook, raceway, conduit, cable support)

·Practical mechanical and electrical skills with experience using drills, screwdrivers, wire strippers, hacksaws and crimping pliers

·Solid basic mathematical knowledge and the ability to read and understand technical drawings

Personal Characteristics

·Strong customer orientation and willingness to provide service

·Teamwork and cooperative working style

·Reliability and accuracy when performing technical tasks

·Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

·Willingness to continue training and acquire new technical knowledge

Experience

·Experience installing and maintaining security or similar technical systems desirable

·Previous experience in customer service is an advantage

Education

·Completed training in electrical engineering or a comparable field or corresponding professional experience

Languages

·Good knowledge of spoken and written German (B2)

·Basic English skills for working with technical documentation

Other

·Class B driving license required

·Authorization to work in Germany required
