As the Process and Operations Manager at CVS engineering GmbH in Rheinfelden (Germany), your mission is to assume full responsibility for the Assembly, Machining, and Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) processes. You will lead the Production department, coordinate production control activities, implement lean processes, drive change initiatives, and achieve production goals with a focus on efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Department Leadership :
Lead and manage the Production department consisting of 36 team members. Take full responsibility for Assembly , Machining , and Quality Control functions, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance.
SHEQ Processes :
Act as the owner of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) processes within the production department. Lead all necessary activities to maintain compliance with regulations and standards, fostering a culture of safety and quality excellence among team members.
Facility Management and Maintenance :
Supervise facility management and maintenance activities to ensure a safe and conducive working environment. Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any issues promptly and minimize downtime.
Implementation of Lean Processes :
Take responsibility for implementing lean manufacturing processes in the Assembly department according the VTPS , building upon existing pilot initiatives. Coordinate efforts with Logistics to streamline production processes and eliminate waste, ensuring a smooth and efficient production flow.
Change Management :
Support and lead the transition from a Machining / Assembly production model to a pure assembly production model. Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Manager to optimize production logistics and facilitate a seamless transition, driving continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
Goals Achievement :
Work towards increasing production capacity through the implementation of lean and focused processes, resulting in shorter lead times and optimized inventory levels. Strive to deliver high-quality products on time, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
To succeed you will need :
Master's degree in Engineering or related field. Practical experience in a similar position preferred.
German language proficiency in speaking and writing, English (B2)
Knowledge of assembly processes, machining technologies (including CNC), and the machining of casted parts and the casting process.
Background in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and experience with one-piece flow methodologies.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and drive change initiatives.
