Through honest, forthcoming, and respectful communications we work to ensure that Fluence is an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.  ABOUT THE POSITION : Lead the Global HiL Strategy for Fluence by determining the HIL equipment and associated personnel resources needed to support the needs of the Product TeamTrain and onboard fellow Product Test Engineer team membersTest bench setup and maintenance of multiple HiL platforms ( wire / connect IO interface from HiL to plant meter and other emulated sub-systems, data acquisition equipment, etc.)Support preparation of equipment OEM's model implementation on HiL and integration with Support layout and design of grid model for controls validation tests (defined by tender / code / product team).Support configuration, integration, and deployment of Fluence controls and telecommunications to HIL platformsExecute / run / automate / troubleshoot tests and produce test reportSupport Controls HIL, Power HIL, system and component testing in the labEnsure lab and testing safety What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering (or equivalent) and 6 years of industry experience Experience with RTDS, Typhoon HIL (Control Center), OPAL-RT (Hypersim), or other HIL platform and softwareExperience in designing, executing and analyzing test cases for hardware and software validation.Familiar with SCADA systems and communication protocols such as Modbus RTU / TCP, CAN, UDP etc.Understanding of power plant controls and grid code requirements.Confident user of electronic systems including but not limited to transducers, amplifiers, power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, A / D converters etc.Fluence IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER and fully subscribes to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity to ensure that all applicants and employees are considered for hire, promotion, and job status without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, marital or familial status.
