In this role, you will join a world class team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers responsible for further development and enhancement of the globally launched Robotic Assisted Surgery platform within the Surgical Operating unit :

A Day in the Life

  • Provide or contribute to the vision of software verification strategy
  • Provide technical leadership in developing, execution, troubleshooting and release activities of Software test in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Lead the test team to develop efficient test plan and meanwhile have adequate coverage for clinical usages
  • Work closely with cross functional team, including Software architect, developer, system engineer and clinical specialist
  • Training and mentorship of more junior colleagues

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably controls or robotics related, with 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient use of modeling & simulation software (MATLAB / Simulink strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with multi-body kinematics and dynamics and familiarity with position, velocity, and torque feedback controllers.
  • Experience with real-time software on microprocessor-based systems and developing software in a Linux environment (Ubuntu preferred).
  • Experience with different testing methodologies including SysIL, HIL, SIL or MIL tests.
  • Experience with testing software under different software and hardware variants and experience with developing tests using plant model.
  • Familiarity with scripting language, preferably Python for generation of automated tests.
  • Experience SDLC process and tools including JIRA, Git, JAMA, Bitbucket (Stash) and Bamboo
  • Great communication and leadership skills.

    • Nice to Haves

  • Medical product development experience including hands-on experience with medical / surgical devices / instruments; familiarity with medical device regulations including IEC 62304.
  • Experience with a big company with matrix structures, having already worked with cross functional teams using Agile / Scrum / SAFe methodologies.
  • Ability to work with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineers when discovering, documenting, and resolving integration issues.
