Responsibilities :

Direct material : external machining, turned and milled parts as well as intercompany

Development and continuous review of the product group strategy incl. definition of the procurement market

Continuous optimization of costs and processes (OTD, availability, replenishment time, quality, innovation, risk & compliance management) for the respective product group

Optimization and contractual safeguarding of the supplier base in terms of costs, quality and delivery performance, innovation

Technical management of Operator Procurement in cooperation worldwide

In each case for the commodity groups of Commodity 2 : Materials of Commodity 2 are, for example, SIC, hard metal, oxide ceramics, carbon

Close cross-departmental cooperation on topics such as product standardization, product development

Supplier management (identification and selection, integration, evaluation, classification, development, risk management)

Analysis, structuring & consolidation of purchasing data

Identification and implementation of savings potentials

Execution of inquiries / tenders incl. negotiation and conclusion of contracts

Qualifications :

Successfully completed studies in the field of business administration, industrial engineering or similar or a comparable qualification

Several years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain management (minimum 5-7 years)

Sound knowledge of purchasing

Strong negotiating skills and assertiveness in combination with analytical and conceptual skills

High degree of initiative, flexibility and ability to work in a team as well as an entrepreneurial way of thinking and acting

Confident handling of MS Office and SAP MM

Fluency in German and English is a prerequisite

Knowledge of materials technology for ceramic materials and elastomers is an advantage

Willingness to travel
