Job Description

Do you want to be at the heart of the energy transition industry, guiding the public and private sector in the delivery of technologies and systems to meet global and national net zero targets? Are you looking to bring your expertise and enthusiasm into play delivering a range of Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage projects? Do you want to push the boundaries of your profession and further develop your expertise and experience in an open, collaborative, and empowering culture?

If this sounds like you, read on. This could be the opportunity you have been looking for.

Your new team

As our new Project Manager , you'll join a dynamic, motivated, and high performing team overseeing a diverse portfolio of global projects. Your role will manage the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept to detailed design and on-site supervision.

We are a “change partner” for our clients, playing a key role in transforming the energy sector globally by delivering cutting-edge projects for the Green Energy Transition.

Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) is an area of strategic importance for us, and we have successfully expanded our business to be the market leader in the Nordics for Carbon Capture Engineering and Consultancy. Our Centre of Competence team is truly international and provides consulting engineering and design services worldwide out of offices in Denmark, Germany, Sweden, US, UK, Switzerland, and APAC.

Your key responsibilities

  • Project management of CCUS projects from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Managing the expectations and relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring effective lines of communication and monitoring progress against the schedule and budget.
  • Overseeing the engineering design to the relevant standards for CCUS projects, ensuring adherence to the design schedule.
  • Managing commercial and financial aspects or projects, monitoring budget against actual costs, evaluating and mitigating risk, impact assessment and reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all project activities are carried out in strict accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Compiling and presenting comprehensive progress reports to project meetings that include analyses of progress against key performance indicators.
  • Developing and managing remedial activities in the event of project deviations to ensure minimal risk to cost and schedule.
  • Collaborating with business development teams to prepare tender documents for new business opportunities.

About you

From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Strong communication skills, specifically fluency in both oral and written German, and an ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management within the Company and with potential clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and partners.
  • Significant and measurable experience in the design and delivery of process related engineering projects, ideally within CCUS, from concept to construction, working to stringent quality, budget, time, and safety factors.
  • Evidence of leading multi-disciplined project teams with proven success in project delivery.
  • Strong customer focus, acting as a trusted advisor with superior communication skills and the ability to influence.
  • Demonstrable technical and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance time, quality, and cost factors in successful project delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, chairing progress meetings, delivering comprehensive management reports.
  • Your new team
