At the »Zukunftsmeile« in Paderborn, Germany, we conduct practical research to develop innovative solutions for mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive industry and related sectors. The focus is on intelligent products, production systems, services and software applications.
The ‘Digital Engineering’ department deals with the central question of how complex systems can be developed in a data-driven and efficient manner. In addition to increasing performance in engineering through the formal application of model-based systems engineering, we are researching the networking and management of product data using concepts such as the digital twin. Another focus is socio-technical human-machine interaction using augmented and virtual reality. We see great potential in the field of artificial intelligence in particular and are convinced that this subject area will play a central role in the data-driven engineering of tomorrow.
What you will do
- You develop a digital factory twin in the IEM tool world for digital engineering : Aras (PLM), SAP (ERP), MS Azure Digital Twins (Digital Twin-Tool and Asset Administration Shell), material flow simulation (Plant Simulation), Node-Red (OT-Tool), Scan-Tool (e.g. via IPad), 3DX platform (CAD)
- Independent research and familiarization with the tool world with the help of technical documentation
- Creation and linking of data objects in the tool world :
Factory : scan of an example factory, CAD model of the factory (in Aras), bill of resources (SAP), material flow (Plant Simulation), structural model of the factory (Plant Simulation, MS Azure Digital Twins), machine data (Node-Red), KPI model of the factory
