StellenbeschreibungPh.D. in Natural Product Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Biology) or related fields Postdoctoral or industry experience is a plus Deep knowledge in natural product chemistry (plants, microbes) and analytical techniques (HPLC-MS, NMR) Experienced in isolating and elucidating structures of secondary metabolites from plants and microbial strains Additional skills in industrial extraction, formulation, food product development, or regulatory approval (EFSA, GRAS) are a plus Passionate about interdisciplinary fields as botany, medicinal / food chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, or metabolomics Strong project management skills and leadership abilities with a structured and team-oriented approach Excellent communicator with business fluent English and at least basic German skills Permanent role based in Potsdam-Germany with ample growth opportunities A collaborative international team and inspiring work environment Flexible working hours plus 30 days of vacation Comprehensive onboarding and training

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist with expertise in natural product chemistry to join our dynamic team in Potsdam. The ideal candidate has an open and curious mindset, thrives on exploring new ideas and pushing boundaries, and is excited to transform creativity into impactful product innovations.
What You Will Do :
- Manage projects and corresponding client communication
- Prepare project proposals, cost analyses, presentations, and detailed reports
- Collaborate closely with lab managers and business development to drive projects forward
- Organize and coordinate tasks within our natural product chemistry labs
- Generate and promote new product ideas based on natural product bioactives for internal R&D and / or external customer projects

AnalytiCon Discovery is an independent commercial unit of BRAIN Biotech AG with many years of R&D expertise in natural product chemistry. The Potsdam-based operation site specializes in small molecule compounds and offers customers from the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and agricultural sectors the development of substance libraries, the identification of active ingredients and their synthetic optimization as well as the production of active ingredients on a commercial scale. AnalytiCon has been part of the BRAIN Biotech Group since 2013.
