About PowerUs
PowerUs is building the ultimate career platform for skilled blue-collar workers. Our platform helps workers find jobs they love and guides them in their professional journey — from apprenticeship to retirement. In parallel, we assist companies in swiftly hiring skilled workers, particularly in the dynamic field of renewable energy, including solar and wind sectors. Qualified workers are the most important missing link in the energy transition towards renewable energy.
Using the PowerUs platform, workers can enter these new and exciting industries, unlocking opportunities to increase their earnings by up to 50%. Our recent €24 million Series B financing round, backed by investors, like Eurazeo, General Catalyst, Headline, and HV Capital, alongside successful business angels such as Max Viessmann, the founders of Personio, and Mario Götze, we can truly commit to our mission of a more sustainable future.
Job Mission
As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications in either our Worker or Company Squads. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features, to optimise performance and contribute to the PowerUs Mission.
What You’ll Do
- Work within a cross-functional team working on full-stack solutions to meet our users need
- Follow and iterate on engineering best practices to achieve a robust code base, e.g. through code reviews and unit tests.
- Identify and proactively address challenges on the product, driving complex technical decisions within your peer group.
- Demonstrate operational rigour around root causing and fixing bugs within their squad’s domain
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to build new features.
- Improve the code architecture and delivering high-value solutions
- Manage and take ownership of individual projects
What We’re Looking For
For this role you will need to be based in Germany and able to work in Berlin or remotely.
What We Offer
As an equal opportunity employer, we proudly welcome applications from people of all races, ethnicities, disability statuses, ages, religions, gender identities, and sexual orientations. We encourage you to apply even if you don't think you meet all of the criteria above but are still interested in the role and our mission. Nobody checks every box, and we're looking for team members who are genuinely excited to join PowerUs! We look forward to receiving your application!
PowerUs is building the digital home for skilled blue-collar workers. We help workers like electricians or heating installers to create their online profile, connect with other workers in our community, complete free education courses and find better jobs with higher salaries. On the other side we help companies to hire workers faster so they can complete their projects, especially with a focus on renewable energies installations like solar and wind.
