Huntsman Polyurethanes is a division of the Huntsman Corporation. We manufacture products for a wide range of industries at numerous locations worldwide. At our Deggendorf site, we produce and distribute high-quality polyurethane systems.

For our site in Deggendorf we are looking for an experienced Site & Operations Manager (m / f / d) our processes and lead the local organization. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director EMEA and as the Site Manager you will have a multifaceted role, on one hand you will make sure that the plants run safely, stable and in a sustainable way. This role is an ideal challenge for a Site & Operations Manager who is looking for the opportunity to have both local and global impact in one of our Polyurethane business sites.

Your additional tasks as Site & Operations Manager (m / f / d) are includes :

  • Site Management & Legal responsibilities for the plant
  • Functional management responsibilities of Supply Chain, Production, EHS (legal part)
  • Management of all organizational and Human Resources responsibilities
  • Interface with the European Supply Chain, Automotive & Elastomer Business Platform, IT, EHS, Finance
  • Authorized representative for contracts, employment contracts, bank accounts, etc.
  • take full legal accountability for ensuring that all activities on site are following legal, regulatory and company EHS standards
  • Take the lead in strengthening the relationships with local authorities, Work Councils, Unions, and other Labour representatives, whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards

Requirements :

  • A university degree in chemical, production or plastics engineering and either a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt or proven experience in Lean Manufacturing principles. Any further business economics education (such as an MBA) is highly desirable
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing (Specialty) chemical or plastics plants, with a proven track record in managing team leaders and department managers
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with people on all levels, both internal as well as external
  • Experience in change management and the implementation of organizational change
  • independent way of working, as well as a structured, team- and result-orientated working style
  • Experience in cost controlling and controlling cost center
  • Lean / Six Sigma and ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001, ISO 9000 or IATF 16949 knowledge
  • Ability to make clear decisions and communicate under stress
  • Business fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • A strong appreciation of EHS and a good understanding of German legislation on running a chemical production site
  • Basic knowledge of German Human Resource legislation.

    Für unseren Standort in Deggendorf suchen wir einen erfahrenen Site & Operations Manager (m / w / d) zur Leitung unseres Werkes. Sie berichten an den Supply Chain Director EMEA und haben als Site & Operations Manager (m / f / d) vielseitige Aufgaben : Einerseits sorgen Sie dafür, dass die Produktionsanlagen sicher, stabil und nachhaltig betrieben werden. Andererseits sind Sie die treibende Kraft bei der Entwicklung einer Operational Excellence Kultur, basierend auf den Lean Prinzipien.

    Diese Aufgabe ist eine ideale Gelegenheit für einen Standortleiter, der die Möglichkeit sucht, sowohl lokal als auch global Einfluss auf einen unserer Polyurethane-Standorte zu nehmen.

    Zusätzlich gehört zu Ihren Aufgaben als Site & Operations Manager (m / w / d) :

  • Werksleitung & rechtliche Verantwortlichkeiten für die Produktionsanlagen
  • Funktionale Management-Verantwortung für Supply Chain, Produktion, Qualitätssicherung, EHS (rechtlicher Teil)
  • Verwaltung aller organisatorischen und Personal-Zuständigkeiten
  • Schnittstelle zum European Supply Chain Management, Automobil und Schuh Geschäftsbereich Patformen, IT, EHS und Finance
  • Bevollmächtigter für Verträge, Arbeitsverträge, Bankkonten usw.
  • die volle rechtliche Verantwortung dafür, dass bei allen Aktivitäten am Standort die gesetzlichen, von der Behörde festgelegten und unternehmenseigenen EHS-Standards eingehalten werden.
  • die Führung bei der Entwicklung der Beziehungen zu den örtlichen Behörden, Betriebsräten, Gewerkschaften und anderen Arbeitnehmervertretern zu übernehmen und gleichzeitig für die Einhaltung der gesetzlichen und unternehmensinternen Standards zu sorgen.

    • Anforderungen :

  • ein Hochschulabschluss in Chemie-, Produktions- oder Kunststofftechnik und entweder ein Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt oder nachgewiesene Erfahrung mit Lean Management. Eine weitere betriebswirtschaftliche Ausbildung (z. B. ein MBA) ist sehr erwünscht
  • Mindestens 10 Jahre Erfahrung in der Leitung von (Spezial-)Chemie- oder Kunststoffanlagen, mit nachweislicher Erfahrung in der Führung von Teamleitern und Abteilungsleitern
  • Ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeit und enge Beziehungen zu Menschen auf allen Ebenen aufzubauen, sowohl intern als auch extern.
  • Nachweislich Erfahrung im Change-Management und in der Durchführung von Organisationsänderungen
  • Eigenverantwortliche Arbeitsweise, sowie ein strukturierter, team- und ergebnisorientierter Arbeitsstil
  • Erfahrung in der Kontrolle von Kosten und Kostenstellen
  • Lean / Six Sigma und ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 plus ISO 9000 oder IATF 16949 Kenntnisse
  • Fähigkeit unter Stress klare Entscheidungen zu treffen und zu kommunizieren
