Senior Project Manager

SUNOTEC positions itself as an integrated solution provider, covering all services from geology, procurement, engineering and construction services to operations and maintenance and re-powering of plants with a large focus on BESS.
We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager for utility scale PV plants and / or BESS to facilitate the growth of its business.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for the safe construction of the project portfolio to the defined quality standards and acceptance criteria, within the constraints of the agreed schedules, budget and finance structure.
The role focuses on the management of the construction of utility scale Solar and / or BESS projects. In addition to the responsibilities for the construction phase, the Senior Project Manager will participate in the project development phase and pre-engineering phase too.
They will be responsible to develop and implement processes in order to improve quality and efficiency of our PV power plant business.
Responsibilities :
As Senior Project Manager, you will manage utility scale solar PV projects located in Germany with a focus on but not limited to - the following aspects :
- Planing, supervising and coordinating of the development of the assigned project(s);
- Communicating and aligning with internal and external stakeholders clients, contractors, construction authorities, internal teams and on-site personnel;
- Responsible for dealing with executive documentation, participating in admissions committees, tendering procedures;
- Keeping track and participating in development, engineering and construction documentation activities, including schedules of different stages, allocation of resources and on-site teams;
- Arranging and leading relevant project meetings;
- Following-up on the planned budget during the construction phase;
- Analysing and reporting project progress;
- Executing control over construction works, performing quality checks;
- Building strong and cooperative internal relationships with the other departments within the SUNOTEC Group and their stakeholders;
- Keeping project documentation actual in all project phases;
- Hosting regular on-site meetings on needs, ensure continuously monitoring of projects.
Requirements :
You must be able to multi-task and demonstrate the ability to work with other project team members, subcontractors, consultants and other professionals.
You are well structured, pro-active, and able to go into technical details. The following professional know-how is required :
- Bachelor's / Master's in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering;
- Several years of experience in EPC Turnkey project management in the construction / plant engineering industry, ideally in the field of PV power plants;
- Experience in Electrical and / or mechanical engineering;
- Reporting and handling of subcontractors;
- Previous experience in the construction industry is considered an advantage;
- Interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary;
- Computer skills - MS Office, MS Project, ideally knowledge of Procore;
- Fluent German and English (written & verbal);
- Good communication skills.
