Postdoc Position for System Modelling
for a physicist or engineer for the development of computational models of engineering components.
Responsibility for developing computational models of engineering components (such as magnet system, power balance, etc.
to be used in integrated Stellarator reactor studies
- Active involvement and support of Stellarator reactor studies, e.g. through interface specification
- Publication and communication of scientific results
- As the IPP is committed to talent management, the supervision of PhDs and students is con sidered an integral part of scientific work
- PhD in the field of physics or engineering
- Advanced knowledge / skills in programming and code development
- Experience in working with complex code frameworks
- Experience in surrogate modelling is beneficial
- Fundamental knowledge in magnetic confinement fusion is beneficial
- An excellent command of written and spoken English
