The ABF Ingredients (ABFI) businesses are leaders in yeast and bakery ingredients as well as in specialty ingredients for the food, human and animal nutrition, pharmaceutical and industrial sectors.
Ohly wishes to appoint a Global Platform Director - Health to position and continue development of the platform unit as one of the key growth drivers for Ohly.
The successful candidate will build a compelling strategy and implement business concepts based on our goal to Innovate and Delight our Customers’.
This position also includes responsibilities for leading Ohly’s Mergers and Acquisitions teams and will be the Ohly representative at the ABFI divisional level.
This position reports directly to CEO, Ralf Fink, and sits on the global senior leadership team (SLT).
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities Include :
Leadership Tasks :
- Member of the Ohly Senior leadership team, leading and role modelling our shared commitment, values, and strategic direction
- Selection and hiring of talent including experts for the platform
- Development and coaching of team members based on ambitious targets
- Sharing own experience and know-how with team members allowing for rapid developments
Sales Tasks :
- Engaging in customer and market activities, co-chairing new business activities
- Driving strategic thinking, planning, and stringent execution, including termination of projects
- Development, monitoring of relevant KPIs, and deriving relevant actions
- Building a strong personal network within Ohly and within relevant other communities
Special Tasks :
- Positioning of the platform as one of the key growth drivers for Ohly, supporting Ohly’s change towards an innovation leader with strong customer focus
- Actively support and drive internal organizational and cultural change needed for efficient cooperation of the platform business model with key internal stakeholders
- Project lead of Mergers and Acquisition activities cross platforms and functions
Professional Experience & Qualifications :
- Business degree (MBA) or similar university degree
- 15+ years of professional experience in relevant sectors (food ingredients, fermentation, IP driven / differentiated business models)
- 10+ years of leadership and team building expertise
- 10+ years of commercial experience in smaller / mid-sized organizations
- Robust know-how in consumer driven industries and strong customer centricity
- Sound entrepreneurial, risk-taking spirit; ability to balance risks and opportunities well
- High degree of people leadership skills A team builder and coach
- Excellent communication skills towards employees and customers
- Broad strategy development and successful execution records
- Long-time project management / business steering capabilities
- Multiple languages (English as a minimum)
