BTP ABAP (Business Technology Platform ABAP), at the heart of SAP's technical foundation, shapes the global enterprise application landscape.

In our dynamic unit, BTP ABAP Layer 2, we drive ABAP's core application runtime, setting industry standards with SDKs, languages, compilers, and VMs.

The Role :

We're actively hiring skilled developers to join our team, focusing on seamlessly integrating Generative AI into the ABAP platform.

As an ABAP or C++ Developer specializing in Generative AI, your role involves innovatively applying AI solutions to ABAP's language and programming models.

Responsibilities :

• Empower developers by seamlessly integrating AI technology into their workflows, equipping them with advanced tools and methodologies to enhance productivity and output quality.
• Share your knowledge and educate developers to harness AI technology for business application development.
• Train large language models to address the specific needs of the ABAP language and programming models.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or possess relevant coursework and certifications.
• Proficiency in programming languages like ABAP, C / C++, Java, or Python is necessary.
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning frameworks is beneficial, even if not accompanied by hands-on experience.
• Candidates are expected to understand ABAP development principles, SAP systems, and programming models.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial. Showcasing programming skills and problem-solving abilities through personal or academic projects is highly valued.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, emphasizing the ability to work well in a team.
• Fluency in German and English is a requirement for this role.
