Role Overview : Career Advisor

Masterschool is seeking a dedicated Career Advisor to guide and support students in the fields of IT, Cybersecurity, Software, and Data Analytics in Germany as they transition from training to employment.

This remote, freelance position offers a unique opportunity to impact the careers of aspiring professionals by providing tailored job search assistance and career coaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain robust relationships with students, providing consistent support through various communication channels including 1 : 1 Zoom meetings, phone calls, WhatsApp, and email.
• Personalized Career Planning : Assess student skills and career aspirations to develop customized job placement plans.
• Implementation Support : Meet regularly with students to help execute their placement plans, and bring in additional coaching resources as needed.
• Resource Coordination : Manage and enhance job search materials such as resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and cover letters, ensuring they are tailored and optimized for specific job opportunities.
• Opportunity Identification : Actively search for and identify job opportunities that match student profiles and career goals.
• Interview Preparation : Prepare students for various interview formats, including HR and technical interviews, and provide post-interview follow-ups to gather feedback and refine strategies.
• Continuous Coaching and Mentoring : Offer ongoing support and coaching through the job search process, helping students navigate challenges and build essential soft skills and networking capabilities.

Qualifications

Must-haves :

• Experience in technical recruiting, particularly within the IT, Cybersecurity, Software and Data Analytics or substantial professional IT experience with a strong network in the industry.
• Excellent understanding of job market trends in relevant markets, and the ability to coach others in these areas.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively guiding and motivating others.
• Proven experience as a Customer Success Manager or similar role, with a track record of fostering long-term relationships.
• Experience with CRM software, preferably Hubspot.
• Sales / recruiting-oriented mindset.
• Fluent German

Nice-to-haves :
