We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Head of Supply Chain to join our team and drive our supply chain strategy.

Activities and responsibilities What you create

The Role :

As the Head of Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain operations.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for managing demand planning, purchasing and production planning of our biotech operation.

Additionally, you will oversee the logistics unit, which includes one team lead and seven employees. Your strategic leadership will be crucial in ensuring our supply chain is efficient, responsive, and aligned with our company goals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement demand forecasting models to ensure accurate inventory levels and meet customer demand. Collaborate closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Science and Finance teams to align demand plans with business objectives and market trends.
• Manage production schedules to optimize resource utilization, minimize lead times, and ensure timely delivery of products.

Coordinate with the manufacturing team to address capacity constraints and enhance production efficiency.

Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with the company’s goals, focusing on cost efficiency and quality.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and other critical components.

• Oversee the logistics function, ensuring smooth operations in warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Optimize logistics processes to improve delivery times, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain teams to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure seamless integration of supply chain processes with overall business operations.

Qualification profile What you bring along

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior supply chain role, preferably within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management best practices, including demand planning, production planning, and purchasing.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems
• Fluent English and German language skills
