Head of Supplier Quality Development in Stuttgart, Germany

Introductory Paragraph :

Our client, is in the electronics - cable industry and based in Stuttgart, Germany is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced individual who can lead their supplier development department effectively.

As such, we are looking for individuals with experience working within quality management systems and knowledge of regulations 9001 / 14001 / 45001 / 16949.

Key Responsibilities :

• Technical and disciplinary management of the supplier development department
• Management of supplier relationships evaluation, classification, development)
• Participation in the selection and development of suitable suppliers
• Carrying out supplier evaluation and action tracking
• Setting goals with suppliers
• Supplier release
• Implementation and monitoring of risk management within the framework of supplier relationships, including compliance
• Execution of the escalation process for suppliers, bottleneck and capacity management
• Conducting audits, capability analyzes and process acceptance as well as participating in escalation meetings for critical supplier matters
• Conducting workshops to identify potential for improvement and innovation among suppliers
• Co-organization of supplier days
• Support of quality planning for purchased parts (technical delivery conditions) as part of development projects and relocation projects)
• Control of the sampling process for purchased parts and delivery release (initial sample release)
• Development and tracking of corrective measures to achieve series readiness of components in collaboration with suppliers, development and purchasing
• Developing concepts to optimize supplier quality
• Tool management
• Handling supplier complaints
• Conclusion of quality assurance agreements
• Further development of supplier-related QM systems

Qualifications & Skills Required :

• The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills while being able to manage and motivate diverse teams towards achieving common goals.
• Candidates must possess extensive knowledge about Quality Management Systems (QMS) including but not limited to ISO standards - specifically 9001 / 14001 / 45001 / TS166949.
• Applicants must show proven expertise managing suppliers' performance; hence they need practical experiences overseeing different aspects like auditing processes or developing corrective actions plans when necessary.
• Experience within the automotive industry will be advantageous due mainly because this role's work scope involves supervising projects from procurement through delivery stages.
