As a dedicated STACKITEER, you are part of the STACKIT Products division. This is where our products and services are developed, tested and improved.
What You’ll Do
You take care of the various storage systems in the areas of block-, object-, backup- and cold-storage in highly available environments (e.
g. NetApp, Cohesity, Pure, Quantum)
- You continue to develop the infrastructure API (e.g. provision of additional storage functionalities as self-service via REST API)
- You extend and improve the current storage environment with further solution scenarios (e.g. introduction of new storage systems, development of new regions)
- You are responsible for the surrounding system landscape of the storage environment (e.g. self-service API, virtualization, Kubernetes, monitoring and logging)
- You create and maintain the professional documentation for efficient use and stable operation of the platform (e.g. for customers and internal teams)
- You are part of the development of a high-performance cloud platform based on Linux and OpenStack with a focus on storage (in particular OpenStack cinder, KVM, etc...)
- You are part of a motivated team that likes to strive for improvement and continuously develops itself (and the products)
What You’ll Need
- You have experience and know the market in one or more of the areas of block-, object-, backup- and cold-storage (e.g. solution scenarios, deployment, operation, scaling options, migration)
- You have already worked with APIs and developed them (e.g. REST API with Python, Go, Rust)
- You have experience with infrastructure as code in automated environments (e.g. CI / CD, pipelines, Kubernetes)
- You know the challenges of (self-)operation of storage systems (e.g. protocols, troubleshooting, performance analysis, high availability, lifecycle)
- You have good knowledge of automation (e.g. using Python, Bash, Ansible)
- You feel comfortable in open source-based virtualization and container environments
- You bring passion and enthusiasm for new technologies and topics related to various storage systems
