We are looking for a full-time position for our location near Augsburg (Gersthofen) at the earliest possible date :

Sales Director EMEA (m / f / d)

You live in Germany, the UK or the Netherlands and work from your home office.

Reliable internet and good travel connections are required.

The Department :

In this key strategic role, you will be responsible for increasing sales through direct sales and other sales channels. You will be supported by a team of sales experts, which you will build up and manage.

You will also work with the SVP of Global Sales to define sales targets, corporate strategies and the implementation of the sales plan to increase sales.

In addition, you will work closely with Marketing to drive lead generation programs and participate in the events yourself.

Your Tasks :

  • Management of a sales team with quarterly sales targets and corresponding 90-day monitoring
  • Analysis and evaluation of market potential in cooperation with the team, including acquisition and contract negotiations
  • Building close relationships with key client stakeholders at senior and middle management level, communicating the technology and processes
  • Setting annual sales targets by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results
  • Setting sales targets by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Team development and expansion, including training, consulting and disciplinary management of employees as well as planning, monitoring and evaluation of work results
  • Desire to self-manage projects and exceed expectations, with the ability to find solutions and deliver results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and technology-driven culture
  • Creation and maintenance of accurate account and opportunity plans in Salesforce.com
  • Internal collaboration with technical support to resolve issues that directly impact partners
  • Manage and implement sales forecasting, planning and buyer-driven sales and marketing processes to ensure a high level of quality, accuracy and process consistency for the sales and marketing organization
  • Drive the successful implementation and adoption of the sales and marketing automation platforms
  • Analyzing pipeline and lead data, providing regular reports to the sales and marketing teams that provide key business insights : typical reports relate to demand generation, pipeline forecasting and trends, conversion rates, target accounts, market segmentation, profit / loss, age
  • Validate the quality of lead and pipeline data through reporting and analysis and provide guidance to improve overall data quality
  • Definition of quality standards for contacts and accounts in the database, definition of processes and data collection strategies
  • Participation in important industry trade fairs and exhibitions, representation of Desktop Metal and networking with potential customers
  • Servicing all needs of existing client accounts, building and maintaining long-term relationships and developing new business opportunities with existing clients
  • You will act as the customer's main point of contact for the Desktop Metal organization and support the internal processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and product management on profit / loss, opportunities and market trends
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities and customer interactions in the CRM system (preferably Salesforce.com)
  • Submit required reports, including business reviews, forecasts and pipelines, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with other sales staff, accounting, order entry, shipping and other departments to ensure accurate and consistent data maintenance
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and support the continuous improvement of the quality process
  • They represent the company in a positive and highly professional manner

Your Profile :

  • 5-10 years of experience in direct sales or sales channel management
  • 10-15 years of experience in sales management
  • Proven track record and experience in C-level sales and financial product sales to attract new clients
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with high adaptability and resilience
  • Confident and adept at using various workplace technologies such as Slack, Zoom and navigating multiple computer platforms and applications
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
  • Location-independent position (home office)
  • High degree of willingness to travel within the assigned territory (50%)
  • Team player and partner with excellent motivational and recruitment skills
  • Ideally experience in sales to Universities / Research laboratories and experience in 3D printing / Additive Manufacturing
  • Strong technical skills for moderating discussions are desirable
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages such as German are nice to have
