The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science invites applications for the following position of salary scale W3 NBesO starting at the earliest possible date : University Professorship (m / w / d) in Construction Process Engineering
The Position
The applicant is expected to represent the research areas of construction process engineering in an internationally highly visible manner.
The professorship focuses on the further development of methods and processes for the technically forward-looking, highly economical, digital and ecologically sustainable construction and operation of buildings.
The main focus of the basic and applied research shall include methods for digital building process engineering and management and management of resulting data obtained during the building process, on the subsequent advancement of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) method and in the automation of the building process itself, especially in the interface between digital design and automated construction methods.
The focus of the work should hereby be placed on the technical processes on the construction site and during prefabrication.
A strong and driving involvement in interdisciplinary basic research as well as in the acquisition of large-scale collaborative research projects combined with a high international scientific visibility are expected.
In the scope of research-oriented teaching activities, the candidate will be required to represent the area of construction process engineering within civil and environmental engineering in German and English language.
Your Profile
The applicant should have an established international scientific profile in the field of building process management. Experience in practical construction in a leading position is welcome but not a prerequisite.
Prior experience in acquisition of research projects and willingness to perform multidisciplinary research are vital. Scientific excellence has to be proven by relevant publications and by successful acquisition of project funding or comparable accomplishments.
