Editorial Intern for Science in School
Your role
The intern will be involved in a range of activities and projects including
- Article production
- Image research and processing
- Uploading material to the Wordpress website
- Finding and fixing small issues (e.g., formatting errors) in existing articles where necessary
- Preparing material for article translations
- Promotion of Science in School e.g. through our social media channels
- Topic research and article commissioning
- Assisting with mailings and administrative tasks
Closing date : 24 July 2024
Contract duration : 6 months with possibility of extension
Grading : €1000 per month / full-time or €500 per month / part-time

You have
You will have a passion for science education and will be working towards or have completed an undergraduate or Master's degree in Science, Education, or Science Communication.
You need to be fluent in English and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. You will need to be self-motivated and conscientious, and of course in publishing, a sharp eye for detail is essential.
You will need to be proficient with the use of standard software packages such as Microsoft Office and should ideally have experience with uploading and editing online material, as well as using social media like Twitter and Facebook.
You will be capable of working well as part of a team and use your initiative to come up with new ideas.
You might also have
- Experience in using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop would be helpful.
- Experience with WordPress would be advantageous.
