HFT Data Engineer (Remote)
Tufa AG, a software development company focused on high frequency trading software , is looking for a Data Scientist / Engineer to help us generate data for new asset classes.
This is a freelancer / contractor position offering 50,000 - 80,000 USD / year (adjusted by location) plus a success based fee .
Key Tasks :
- Analysis : Conduct an initial comprehensive analysis to identify high-potential markets based on trade volumes, market volatility, historical data costs, ease of market access, live data costs and other key metrics.
- Data sourcing : Obtain multiple quotes and engage with different data vendors for cost comparisons on acquisition of new data.
- Data engineering : write python code to download and process the data into our S3 bucket. Implement various well documented classes that allow us to then make use of the data downstream.
- General software engineering : if the asset class looks promising, we may ask you to assist with live data integration which will involve writing code to serve live market data to us.
Requirements :
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in Python
- Proficiency with Pandas
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., S3)
- Familiarity with data engineering
- Familiarity with algorithmic trading
- Ability to work independently and remotely (you are free to choose your own hours)
