Your tasks
- Design and plan layouts of new test facilities, considering operational requirements, workflow optimization, growth requirements, equipment placement, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, test engineers, facility engineers and contractors, to ensure smooth execution of facility setup and expansion projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for the development and setup of test facilities. Ensure delivery on time and within budget.
- Act as focal point for facility requirements for the test department.
- Support the selection of test locations based on operational requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of test facility development projects and regularly report on key performance metrics, project progress, and budget adherence.
Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial engineering, ideally in aerospace or automotive industry, including exposure to greenfield and brownfield production setups.
- Strong technical expertise in manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency enhancement.
- Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems.
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing facility infrastructure
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, perform root cause analysis, and propose effective solutions.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously within specified timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and equipment vendors.
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
