As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Spark Networks, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing automated test environments.

Your mission will involve designing, testing, and deploying effective automation solutions to ensure the highest quality for our applications.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maximize test coverage and streamline application functions through automated testing processes.

What You"ll Do

• Develop Automated Tests : Write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.
• Maximize Test Coverage : Ensure maximum test coverage for the most critical features of the system.
• Prioritize Test Scenarios : Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.
• Document Processes : Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
• Build Test Frameworks : Develop and enhance test automation frameworks to accommodate scripting needs.
• Log Bugs : Log and document bugs in the tracking system, providing detailed reports to the engineering team.
• Continuous Integration : Set up and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) systems.
• Exploratory Testing : Conduct exploratory testing to understand how functionality manifests to the customer when necessary.

Who You Are

• Experienced Automator : 2-3+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong background in e-commerce applications.
• Technical Proficiency : Proficient in programming skills to write code and scripts in languages such as JavaScript and Python.
• Analytical Thinker : Strong analytical skills to examine bug reports, prioritize tests, and streamline functions through automation.
• Detail-Oriented : Keen attention to detail to test web and mobile applications effectively.
• Strong Communicator : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with the engineering team and create comprehensive testing plans and reports.
• Agile Experience : Experience with Agile methodology is preferred.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Comfortable working with offshore, nearshore, and onshore models is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Experience in e-commerce applications is required.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Python.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with CI systems.
• Ability to write detailed documentation for automated processes.
• Familiarity with offshore / nearshore / onshore models is a plus.
