Investment Associate

Our Client, leading player in the private equity industry, are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Associate with 4-6 years of experience in debt investments, particularly in leverage finance or private credit, to join their team based in Munich, Germany.

With approximately €10 billion in assets under management (AUM) and a diverse portfolio spanning various sectors, they offer a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful investment strategies and shape the future of the company.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conducting thorough due diligence on potential debt investments, including financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to structure and negotiate debt transactions.
• Monitoring and managing existing debt investments, including covenant compliance and performance tracking.
• Contributing to the development of investment strategies and presenting investment recommendations to senior management.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including lenders and portfolio company management teams.
• Staying informed about market trends and industry developments to identify new investment opportunities.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in debt investments, preferably in leverage finance or private credit, gained from a reputable financial institution, private equity firm, or asset management firm.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of debt structures and financing arrangements.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions from inception to completion, including deal structuring and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong motivation to work in Munich and contribute to the growth and success of our firm.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German is advantageous but not required.
