Record Group is keen to appoint a Finance & Risk Manager in their Frankfurt office. The successful candidate will be qualified accountant and responsible for all aspects of the Finance and Risk function for the German entities within the Record Financial Group.
This includes a range of activities from bookkeeping to accounting, audit and tax, as well as managing BaFin regulatory requirements.
These companies are undergoing a rapid period of growth and so the role is expected to evolve over time allowing for growth and professional development.

In 2022, the BaFin regulatory license was obtained. As a German MiFID company RAM provides investment management services and, through its subsidiary, acts as distributor for funds alongside selected partners in the EU.
The Frankfurt office is responsible for designing and managing bespoke investment strategies to achieve client's investment objectives.
The investment strategies will target funds, either vehicles that already exist or subsets of portfolios
Role Summary
The core focus on the role is delivering the highest standard of financial reporting for our German asset management entity, so that means taking charge of all bookkeeping processes.
It also means managing our regulatory reporting for BaFin and Bundesbank and delivering that on time.
There is also the annual audit process to get involved with, always liaising with colleagues in Germany and in UK and key external advisors.
There is also the opportunity to get involved with our tax reporting and ensuring this is executed to the highest standard on a quarterly and annual basis.
We are a fast growing business in Germany with significant ambitions for growth so there will be plenty of scope to get involved with a number of parts of the business, be that finance and risk.
Requirements
- Fluent in German and English
- Degree in accounting, business accounting, finance, business and economics, or similar
- At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of BaFin and Bundesbank reporting requirements
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP
- Strong knowledge of MARisk
- Confident analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Sage 200 Accounts, SAP Business ByDesign and Power BI experience would be helpful but not essential
- Ability to work independently, whilst liaising and reporting into a team based overseas.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Confidence and ability to work with senior colleagues within the business.
