Project Manager Tire Additives

Position overview

In position of the Project Manager for Tire Additives you will be playing a critical role within the Additives growth platform in allnex.

You will be leading key development projects related to tire additives, from project initiation through scale-up and market introduction.

Responsibilities will include expanding allnex’s tire additives business into new applications and technologies, collaborating with cooperation partners and customers on open innovation projects, and supporting global business goals.

Additionally, you will work closely with Business Development and Marketing teams to generate new project ideas and coordinate resources for efficient product and process development within a complex organizational matrix.

Responsibilities

• Leading Key Projects : As part of the Additives growth platform, the Project Manager takes the lead in crucial development projects related to tire additives;
• You initiate and execute complex development projects throughout the entire project life cycle, from project scoping to scale-up and market introduction;
• You closely cooperate with other functions (such as Business Development, Commercial, Production, and Process Development) to ensure project success;
• As Project Manager you collaborate closely with Business Development and Marketing to generate new project ideas;
• A key success factor of this function is expanding allnex’s tire additives business into new applications and technologies;
• By working with cooperation partners and customers on open innovation projects you ensure addressing relevant market needs;
• The function is key in supporting the global business goals within the allnex s additives business, which are based on strong growth expectations;
• You efficiently and effectively coordinate resources for developing new products and testing them in relevant applications.

Required skills and experience

• Education : A PhD degree in Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or related fields;
• Experience : 2-5 years of project management and product development experience in a relevant industry branch or research institute;
• Project Management Skills : Strong project management and interpersonal abilities with a proven track record;
• Technical Knowledge : A broad understanding of polymer chemistry and physics including polymer characterization techniques and basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and process development;
• Strategic Thinking : The ability to set up and prioritize R&D projects based on global market, regulatory, or business needs;
• Analytical Mindset : An analytical approach to scope and execute projects, ensuring market-viable technical solutions;

Problem-Solving Skills : Technical diagnostic skills for process problem-solving.
