Job advertisement number P40 / 2024Your tasks : We are looking for a team player with professional communicative and didactic skills and a willingness to cooperate across disciplines, who can represent the subject area of 'Generativity and family in a changing society', understood as a critical reflection on care for future generations, in research and teaching it in the broad range of programs offered at the Department of Social Work and Health in a practice-oriented manner.
In accordance with the subject area, which represents a cross-sectional topic in social work, you will teach according to your profile in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs as well as in the specializations 'Education and Upbringing' or 'Exclusion and Integration' of our department.
The focus of the professorship includes : Profound knowledge of current discourses, especially with regard to the interdisciplinary dimensions of generativity in the context of social work at the macro, meso and micro level.
Relationships between individual and collective generativity as well as care ethics and ethicalmoral aspects of generative power relations, also with regard to gender relations.
Social dimensions of generativity in a historical context, i.e. research into the connections between family and socialization forms with regard to transgenerational transmission, for example authoritarian parenting practices, defense processes in dealing with the Nazi past and also dealing with cultural practices.
Group-related democratic learning and dealing with group-related misanthropy and anti-Semitism as central dimensions in the context of increasing political instrumentalization of German history and the culture of remembrance.
Socio-political framework conditions and current social developments with regards to the advertised content of the professorship.
Your Profile : We are looking for a highly qualified professional with outstanding academic and practical knowledge in the advertised field.
A relevant degree in social work, educational science, pedagogy, psychology, sociology or a comparable discipline and a qualified doctorate are required.
Furthermore, we require knowledge of and experience with application-oriented methods of action as well as theory-practice transfer.
Research experience in the field of generativity, proven by relevant publications (also peerreviewed), is desirable. Ideally, you will also have meaningful further education and training in the specialized field of the job advertisement.
