We are currently looking for aSenior Embedded Software Engineer (m / w / d)Location : Karlsruhe, GermanyWe are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer specializing in real-time programming for the development of embedded systems on ARM-based microcontrollers and Texas Instruments' C2000 real-time microcontrollers.
As part of our technical team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing embedded software solutions for innovative products across various industries.
Roles and Responsibilities : Designing, implementing, and optimizing embedded software for real-time systems on ARM-based microcontrollers and C2000 real-time microcontrollersDeveloping drivers, abstraction layers, and hardware interfacesIntegrating real-time operating systems and middleware componentsConducting system tests, troubleshooting, and optimizing code for performance and resource consumptionLeading firmware system concept development for high-precision metrology applications, such as axial force transducers, active magnetic bearings, and vector control of permanent magnet synchronous and three-phase asynchronous motorsDeep understanding of electrical machines and their controls, particularly permanent magnet (EC-) and three-phase asynchronous motor topologiesExpertise in optimizing motor and temperature control loopsExperience in validating electric machine controls, sensors, and actuators through prototyping and laboratory testingCollaborating with hardware and firmware teams to design and validate embedded system architecturesDocumenting design decisions, interfaces, and software configurationsRequired Qualifications : Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years of professional experience in embedded software development with a focus on real-time programmingProficient in C and C++, with experience in ARM architectures and TI C2000 microcontrollersPractical experience in real-time operating system (RTOS) development and low-level programmingGood understanding of communication protocols (e.
