Job Description
The role’s purpose is to provide engineering support for the Integration and Verification (I&V) of data processors managed by EUMETSAT that have undergone development or updates.
The main responsibilities are divided into three key areas : engineering activities for I&V, executing I&V tasks, and contributing to validation efforts.
As a System Integration and Verification Engineer , your primary activities will include :
- Planning and executing all integration and verification activities in close collaboration with EUMETSAT;
- Developing integration and verification test specifications;
- Identifying necessary test tools and data, including planning for any tool development;
- Creating detailed test procedures;
- Automating test procedures for integration into automatic test suites;
- Maintaining automated test suites;
- Analyzing issues and managing anomalies;
- Conducting integration and verification tests in line with established plans, procedures, performing any required analysis of results or issues, and documenting outcomes in relevant reports and anomaly reports, when necessary.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor or Master in Computer Sciences, preferably with a focus on software engineering
- Pro-active attitude with initiative and interest in challenging solutions
- At least 3 years of professional experience as software or system integration engineer
- Excellent communication skills in an international environment
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written particularly in technical documentation
- Structured approach to software development and verification
- Experience in software maintenance
- Knowledge and practical experience in the following technologies is required : Python, UNIX / Linux, Scripting languages in a Linux environment
Work Location : Darmstadt, Germany
We follow a hybrid scheme, which means you will work at the Darmstadt office and from home.
