Tax and Global Mobility Expert (all genders)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax and Global Mobility Expert to join our team in Munich. This role will ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations in terms of tax efficiency for both the company and its employees.
The candidate will be responsible for tax compliance in terms of mobility and supporting employee relocations and internal transfers
Key Responsibilities :
Tax Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local and country tax regulations related to employee mobility in Germany (other EU countries)
- Review tax returns, including expatriate and international tax filings.
- Provide guidance on tax implications for employees relocating domestically and internationally.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and assess their impact on global mobility programs.
Global Mobility Strategy
- Collaborate with People and Culture to develop and implement effective global mobility strategies.
- Advise on the tax implications of various global mobility options (e.g., transfers, expatriates, short-term assignments).
- Co-create and maintain policies and procedures for global mobility to ensure alignment with tax regulations.
Employee Support and Communication
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding tax-related queries and issues related to global mobility.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for employees on tax obligations and benefits associated with relocations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with People and Culture, Finance, Compliance and Legal teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to global mobility and tax matters.
- Cooperation with external tax advisors and consultants as necessary to address complex tax issues.
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all global mobility activities and ensure proper documentation.
- Analyze data and prepare reports on tax compliance and iglobal mobility trends for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably with a focus on international or domestic mobility.
- Very good understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Very good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in German language is a must
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively advise and support employees.
- Proficiency with Workday and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
