Job Description : this company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Director of Transport to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have significant operational management experience within the courier industry, forwarding agents' transport department, or shipping company.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all aspects of transportation operations within the region.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize efficiency and maximize profitability.
- Lead and mentor a team of transportation professionals, ensuring high performance and employee engagement.
- Manage and analyze P&L statements, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and improve operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational management within the courier industry, forwarding agents' transport department, or shipping company.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a P&L and multiple internal functions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
