About our Client

Our client is an early-stage ClimateTech venture building a one-stop shop to aid the decarbonization and ESG management of commercial real estate.

Or client tackles everything from energy consulting, energy-efficient renovations, and long-term ESG management. They make sustainability economically viable and individually tailored to enable the decarbonization and green transition of real estate assets2.

Our client has already received early VC backing from Atlantic Labs and Speedinvest and is now looking to start scaling their Berlin-based team as they expand their operations.

About the Role

As Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for building the marketing function from the ground up and ensuring a solid basis to enable our client to scale.

You’ll be tasked with setting up and managing holistic marketing projects including Events, Content, PR, Social, Digital Marketing, and Brand.

You’ll start as a marketing generalist with a strong spike in Events and Social. Over time, you will build out a marketing team to support you in key areas.

This position will interact with all facets of the business and report directly to the Founders.

Specifically, you will :

  • Build a strong, capable team to manage all marketing activities and develop department processes and workflows
  • Align marketing strategies with the company’s vision of decarbonizing every European building
  • Organize and promote events to enhance brand visibility and engagement, measuring success through attendee engagement and lead-generation metrics
  • Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity in all marketing materials
  • Regularly update and manage content for digital communication channels, including social media, website, and newsletters
  • Plan and launch digital marketing campaigns to increase online visibility and engagement, tracking performance using metrics such as click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI
  • Develop partnerships to enhance brand reputation and reach
  • Track spending against budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies and making informed decisions on resource allocation
  • Build a strong, capable team to manage all marketing activities and develop department processes and workflows, leveraging marketing platforms such as HubSpot for managing campaigns, customer relationship management, and tracking performance
  • Implement KPIs to measure campaign performance (e.g., website traffic, social media metrics, lead generation, conversion rates, ROI) and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
  • Work closely with sales, product development, and other teams to ensure a cohesive approach to market strategy

About You :

  • A proven track record of operating within a high-performance marketing function at an early-stage start-up, ideally within a climate and / or sustainability segment in DACH
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or another related field
  • A solid understanding of how to set up the marketing and communication basics within a VC-backed start-up from scratch including Content Writing, PR, Socials, Events, Brand, and Digital Marketing
  • A holistic approach to marketing, but with a strong spike in Events, Communications, and Social to drive awareness and conversion across our client's client portfolio
  • Previous experiences in building and managing high-performance marketing teams in fast-moving environments including with budget management responsibilities
  • You are data-driven and able to implement relevant tracking and KPIs for marketing performance across the business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You can effectively work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at a range of different seniority levels
  • Highly adaptable to changing business needs and environments with a focus on problem solving
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German are mandatory.
