Associate Legal Counsel
Our client is one of Europe's fastest growing Solar PV and Battery Storage developers. Backed by a large European fund, they have built an impressive pipeline of projects across six countries.
They are looking for an Associate Legal Counsel to join their team in Germany to further complement the growth of their unique and high-performing team.
Responsibilities :
- Assists the Legal Counsel on all legal matters / aspects of the enterprise’s operations Europe-wide, with main focus on Germany. Examples :
- Supports the country renewable project development teams
- Supports with regards to acquisition of land, including negotiation with land owners from time to time
- Supports with regards to renewable regulatory matters
- Negotiations with stakeholders from time to time, as required
- Contract management
- Participation in M&A processes (coordinating due diligence; drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts)
- Participation in JV processes with business partners (drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts)
- Other usual daily matters which include legal aspect
- Reports to the Europe’s Legal Counsel
Profile :
- German and English speaking, any other language (Spanish, Italian, French) - a plus
- It is a role for a graduate lawyer (a bar member admission not required, but fine to have)
- A role for late junior (having around 2 y. of experience or bit more)
- Educational legal background in Germany OR experience in Germany at least one of these should be a requirement.
- Ideally coming from renewable energy sector. Otherwise : energy in general, or real estate, or corporate / transactional
