Head of Artificial Intelligence
Salary : EUR 130,000 to 150,000 , depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete reorganisation and establishment of a new Artificial Intelligence department.
- Oversee and manage all AI initiatives and projects in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
- Monitor AI trends and advancements to continually refine the company’s AI strategy and skill set.
- Identify relevant AI use cases, choose appropriate technologies and frameworks, develop models, and implement AI-driven solutions with expert teams.
- Build and nurture a high-performing AI team of innovative, creative thinkers.
- Develop and scale local AI infrastructure, ensuring data availability, selecting strategic partners, and leading deployment with the data team.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships and promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing on AI topics within the company and across external networks.
- Report directly to the CIO, contributing to strategic business decisions.
Profile
- A degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or a similar field.
- Proven experience as a leader in a comparable environment, with exceptional management skills.
- Expertise in AI and data science with hands-on project experience, ideally in finance and / or insurance.
- Solid track record in planning and executing AI projects, along with experience in modern software development.
- In-depth knowledge of AI / ML methods, platforms, and frameworks, with practical expertise in Python and Docker / Kubernetes.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Fluency in both German and English (business level).
