Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Point of contact for all employees & managers of dedicated area of responsibility.
- Support of the HR manager in all HR-relevant matters, including the preparation of promotions, job / working hours changes, maternity leave requests etc.
including related discussions with line managers and employees.
- Solve (inter)-personal work-related issues between employees incl. discussions related to warnings and terminations, also complex cases.
- Ensure, equal treatment and consistency apply.
- Employee exit, including reference letters.
Apprenticeship / Dual Study Programme / Working Students
- Recruitment of candidates
- Programme coordination with Chamber of Commerce / university and internal departments
- Point of conduct during programme
- Point of conduct for working students during their engagement with us, including coordination Bachelor- / Master degree programme engagements with related department.
Personal Development
- Coordination and point of contact for Topcon-internal development programmes.
- Coordination of the creation / update of training plans with / by the cost centre owners, administration of obtained training certificates in Workday as a back-up for the HR-Representative
Recruiting & Employer Branding
- Creation and placement of job advertisements via Workday and job boards not included in WD-process, including applicant management in coordination with Talent Acquisition team.
- Carrying out job interviews and issuing employment contracts (from Support IC to Manager roles)
- Participation at job fairs
- Maintaining contact with universities for working students and recruitment agencies for temp staff workers
HR-Roadmap
Support of the HR-Manager in coordination and implementation of performance review, goal setting, salary review / merit and bonus payment process, annual leave management.
HR-Documents & Statistics
- Creation, updating and publication of HR documents in TELE-document management system for auditing purposes, including job description, organization charts, HR-forms in TDP-SharePoint and TELE-Docu Manager, including Audit preparations.
- Preparation of HR data / statistics as required, preparation of HR-PPT for work meetings.
Education and experience
- Qualifications in Human Resources, psychology, law, business or equivalent experience.
- Training in employment legislation, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and / or preventive labour relations, preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR business, preferably in an international, matrixed environment.
- Fluent English and German (Written and spoken) is necessary
- Deep knowledge in German local law and legislation and general knowledge of the other countries labour legislation
- Evidence of the practice of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- High level computer literacy (Socials / Internet / MS Office Suite / SaaS).
- Analytical mind-set with a keen eye for detail and the ability to problem solve.
- Be able to travel within the region.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- Broad knowledge and experience in Human Resources, including recruitment, employment legislation, compensation, employee relations, safety, training, and employee development.
- Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive.
- Have a desire to collaborate to achieve results (both with the global HR team and local Operations).
- Contribute to a team environment through developing positive working relationships that are based on trust and integrity.
