Are you a student looking for a six-month, varied internship in the communications sector of the automotive industry? Do you have a wide range of interests, have gained initial practical experience in journalism or press relations and are highly motivated to contribute to numerous communication topics?

Then our job offer could be just right for you : We - the "Editorial and Launch Management" team - work within the Global Marketing and Communications division of Mercedes-Benz AG and are responsible for editorial planning / orchestration of the PR topics located there, such as car, van, innovation, technology, brand communication.

The team accompanies the relevant topics from the schedule overview of the planned publications in PowerPoint, through text proofreading to the final publication of the press release on the media website and the appropriate social media posting itself.

In some cases, press releases and postings are also created in collaboration with an external agency. The team works particularly closely with Product Communication and also acts as an interface for the overarching area.

Within the Marketing and Communications division, Global Communications is responsible for the global image and positioning of all Mercedes-Benz cars and vans topics in national and international print, TV and online media.

To this end, the division uses all PR tools that can be adapted for the relevant media target groups and develops holistic -degree communication strategies.

These are some of the challenges you will face :

• Supporting the coordination and planning of the publication of press releases for journalists as well as topic planning for the various channels, such as media site, social media (Excel, PowerPoint, participation in editorial conferences)
• Support in the further development of channel and target group-oriented content
• Editorial support in writing and editing short texts (postings) in English for LinkedIn and X
• Support with evaluations / clippings on communication events for product communication

Qualifikationen

• Degree course in communications, humanities, social sciences or economics, marketing and / or journalism / media or a comparable degree course, ideally including a 6-month mandatory internship, but at least a 3-month mandatory internship
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English
• Confident handling of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel etc.)
• Experience with social media channels, especially LinkedIn and X, high affinity to the automotive industry
• First professional, practical experience in the field of media, press relations or social media is desirable
• Committed and friendly demeanor, initiative and commitment, diligence and ability to work in a team are no foreign words for you
• Driving license class B and driving experience an advantage
• Working method : Remote & presence
