Test Automation Engineer (m/w/d)

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be an important part of our software team. You will design, optimize and enhance our test automation system to fully automate the release and software quality process of the QBase ground control and drone software.

With our world-class teams, currently fifteen members, you will play a pivotal role in pushing the boundaries of software deployment for our high-tech drones.

You will work closely with stakeholders from our software teams as well as neighbor departments (like hardware engineering) to extend and optimize the software testing pipeline.

By ensuring high code quality and lean software deployment pipelines, you will support Quantum Systems in its mission to become the benchmark for aerial data collection solutions with unmanned aerial systems (sUAV).

What is your Day to Day Mission :

• You will develop a test strategy to validate the software stack of our vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft with focus on the ground-control-station
• You will create new integration tests on the E2E level
• You will review, challenge, and optimize existing test cases
• You will pro-actively extend the test scope in a structured way to identify system limits and push the boundaries even further
• You will develop an automated test framework to enable developers to continuously extend the test suite
• You collaborate with the development teams to develop and further enhance the test automation pipeline

What you bring to the team :

• You have successfully completed a university degree in electrical engineering or computer science or have a comparable qualification like iSTQB certification
• You have 2+ years of SW testing experience
• You are experienced in writing automated test cases using Python, C#, or a comparable language
• You are experienced in creating, optimizing, and maintaining testcases in a highly structured way
• You have experience with CI / CD tooling (preferably Gitlab) and Docker
• You have experience in building Hardware / Software-in-the-Loops setups from concept to implementation
